fruta planta disorders have become practically

If obsession with food interferes with your life, if you see yourself as plump even though others swear you’re underweight or if you truly believe that if you were thin you’d be happy, you may be prone to an eating disorder. Eating disorders are diets gone wrong and diets that are self destructive instead of self improving. Anorexia and bulimia has become increasingly common- there may be more than a million sufferers and young women are the prime victims. One teen friend of mine said that eating fruta planta disorders have become practically a fad.
Anorexic and Bulimics starve or stuff themselves compulsively and some abusive laxatives or make themselves throw up. Many are so pleased to be looking slim that they are overlooking the permanent damage they may be doing to their bodies. If you’re anorexic and bulimic or exhibit symptoms of both disorders, you’re not alone. Start taking vitamins and try not to three days without fasting or feasting. Proper treatment is available. And the sooner you get help, the sooner you’ll get better.

Anorexia nervosa has been described as a psychosomatic and psychosocial illness in which irrational fear of being overweight leads to compulsive dieting. It can affect anybody, especially young women. Some women diet successfully or lose weight in an illness. Then continue dieting until they’ve lost fully or lose as much as 25 percent of their original body weight. They starve to death or die of infections or heart failure. Others wait too long before they seek help, although they recover, they done irreparable damage to their bodies due to drastic chemical imbalances and malnutrition. What should you do if you recognized that you or your friend may be anorexic? Seek help. Talk to your family, the school nurse or a physician. Ask the telephone operator or a librarian about nearby eating disorder clinic.

Bulimia is common among young women and more prevalent than anorexia. Some anorexics recovered only to become bulimic which means they haven’t already really faced the conflicts behind their eating disorder. Also, just as some anorexics may avoid facing their sexuality by regressing to an almost pre-puberty state physically, some bulimics mask their curve in fat.

Bulimic habits are harmful. By vomiting right after eating, the bulimic throws up water and digestive fluids as well. This can cause dehydration and a serious imbalance of body chemicals. The stomach acids that come up the esophagus and pour into mouth can cause bleeding, gum disease and tooth decay. Fasting leads to malnutrition and kidney problems and may stunt growth. Abuse of laxatives and enemas can make the bulimic prone to constipation and bowel lesions. In severe cases, the bulimic feels out of control, isolated and depressed.

If you were like these, you are purging and are always eating because of emotional rather than physical cues, you need help. Talk to your family doctor or contact one of the group that you know. You can learn to modify your eating behavior, to take responsibility for your body, to express tension in more constructive ways and be nicer to yourself. You will get better and with determination, you will stay well,
